Welcome to the NDCs Yetu Dashboard/Application. This Privacy Policy explains how the Application collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares your personal information when you use our platform to contribute to Uganda's climate action data collection initiative.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our Application. This policy applies to all users, including community members, youth, women, indigenous communities, farmers, policymakers, and other stakeholders contributing to climate data collection.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Application.

- "We," "Us," "Our," or "Company": Refers to the NDCs Yetu team and its partnering organizations.
- "Application": Refers to the NDCs Yetu Dashboard and all associated platforms, websites, and mobile applications.
- "User" or "You": Refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Application.
- "Personal Data": Any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
- "Sensitive Personal Data": Information about race, ethnicity, indigenous status, gender, political opinions, religious beliefs, health status, or other protected characteristics.
- "Processing": Any operation performed on Personal Data (collection, storage, analysis, sharing, etc.).
4. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
4.1 Personal Information You Provide Directly
When you register and use the Application, we collect the following information:
- Registration Information: Name, Date of Birth, Email, Phone Number, City/Village, and Community Identification (e.g., Youth, Farmer, Scientist).
- Climate Survey Data: Perceptions, experiences with weather impacts (drought, flooding), and adaptation needs.
- Sensitive Personal Data:
- Indigenous Communities: Cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, land rights.
- Women: Gender-differentiated impacts, access to resources.
- Youth: Green job interests, climate anxiety.
- Policymakers: Policy experience, institutional insights.
4.2 Technical Information
- Device Information: OS, browser type, and device type.
- Usage Data: Pages visited and interaction patterns.
- Location Data: GPS coordinates (only with explicit permission).
- IP Address & Cookies: For security and analytics.
4.3 Data We Do NOT Intentionally Collect
We do NOT collect financial information, government ID numbers (without consent), biometric data, or unrelated health data.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
5.1 Primary Purposes
- NDC Development: To support Uganda's Nationally Determined Contributions.
- Research: Thematic analysis on climate solutions and community needs.
- Communication: Newsletters, updates, and feedback responses.
- Report Generation: Creating anonymized reports for policymakers and the public.
5.2 Legal Basis
We process data based on Consent, Legal Obligation, Legitimate Interest, and Public Interest.
6. SHARING YOUR DATA
We share data with government partners (MWLE), research institutions, and international partners (UNDP, GEF) solely for climate action purposes.
We DO NOT share data with: Commercial companies for marketing, political parties, or unauthorized foreign governments.

We provide specific protections for Indigenous Communities (respecting FPIC), Women (preventing gender discrimination), Youth (age-appropriate consent), and Persons with Disabilities (accessible interfaces).
